Galleri Pingvin was established in 1985 and originally went by the name Gallery B.A. In September 2003, we moved to Møllergata 13 and changed our name to Galleri Pingvin.

Galleri Pingvin is one of Scandinavia’s largest international galleries. On our three levels you will find well-known and lesser-known artists from many countries - large pictures, small pictures, strong colours, soft colours, figurative pictures, pictures of animals, all at entry level to investment level prices.

We at Galleri Pingvin are here to aid and advise our customers. Whether for pure decoration or investment, or both (our specialties for the last 20 years), we offer expert advice. All art in Galleri Pingvin belongs to the artists and is sold on a commission basis. Sold pictures are taken down, meaning the art on offer is renewed weekly".

Siljan River

I`ve been quite busy lately. I promise to be here more often. Here I`m working on a new river landscape painting. My favorite river, Siljan River. I`ve a special relationship to my hometown Siljan in Telemark. I`ll for the future make many paintings from this beautiful river.

My latest works this week

 Siljan River is among my favorite rivers. I grew up in these surroundings. I guess I never finish making paintings from Siljan. My childhood village. 

This old "rain type forest" is very close to Trollfoss, a huge waterfall I`ve been painting before.  Trollfoss

On my Easel 28/5-12

Today I`m in the process on a new norwegian Forest. It`s in a deep Forest in Svarstad, Lardal - Norway.

I feel very connected to this kind of nature. It`s very uplifting and motivating to continue with this painting.

News from my Easel, 15th. of January 2012

 Again I`m painting one of my favorite motives. I`m in love with Siljan River. As usual the painting is not finished, it need a few fresh strokes in a few days, but for a "easel-pic" it should be okey.
